At C7 we adopt a structured approach to all projects – work does not commence without first formulating a practical set of targets and planning the scheduled works to achieve the required objectives within both the budget and the deadline.

This framework is then passed on to every member of staff involved in that particular project, from office and site management through to on-site labour – each member of the team is aware of his or her responsibilities.

We place great emphasis on man-management for all our projects, with on-site staff and management receiving full support from the office based management team. This arrangement is supported by weekly meetings with all on-site and office-based management to ensure objectives and standards are being maintained and to address, where appropriate, areas identified for possible improvement. This is backed up by regular weekly visits on all projects from the project’s designated contracts manager.

Further quarterly management meetings with all representatives of on-site Management are used as a vehicle to discuss current and future works and possible new products and to identify employee requirements and issues.

The decision for the on-site management is based primarily on the scale of works for each project and varies from the on-site working foreman (small-scale projects) to project supervisors (large-scale projects). All of our site-based management team are trained to NVQ Level 3 or above, are vastly experienced tradespersons and are adept at dealing with any daily issues that may occur on site.

A designated contracts manger is also assigned to their project to offer further support upon request.

The STRUCTURE applied on a number of projects in which we have been involved has also shown benefits to our clients by reducing the time scale of works and easing concerns for tenants through good communication, particularly on Decent Homes works of a kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme.

C7 Contractors has incorporated plastering and tiling with decoration works in order to reduce time scale on programmes, thus reducing the inconvenience for tenants. This practice has for a number of years now become a more favourable option for companies and their client.
